Strategic Leadership Practices to Enhance the Performance of Educational Institutions: A Field Study at Zawiya University

Abstract
This field study aimed to assess the reality of strategic leadership practices (strategic direction, strategic thinking, and human capital development) and their impact on enhancing the performance of educational institutions through its dimensions (quality of work and continuous improvement) at Zawiya University. The researcher adopted a descriptive-analytical approach and a case study methodology, utilizing a questionnaire to collect data from a sample of 64 academic and administrative leaders at the university. The findings revealed a strong, statistically significant positive correlation between strategic leadership practices and institutional performance enhancement (correlation coefficient of 0.873 at a significance level below 0.05). Consequently, the study recommended articulating a clear university mission, focusing on human capital development, and fostering an organizational environment that supports creativity and innovation.
