Economic Information and Its Role in Raising the Efficiency of Industrial Strategic Planning

This study examines the role and importance of economic information in enhancing the efficiency of strategic planning within the industrial sector, particularly at the top management level. The paper emphasizes that planning is the key to effective administrative performance and that establishing information systems relies on scientific methods and comprehensive environmental analysis to determine economic indicators and formulate future corporate visions. It explores the main approaches to strategic planning for information systems, compares traditional and electronic planning, and details the prerequisites for successful planning and capacity measurement. The study concludes with recommendations on developing shared databases, building human and managerial capacity, and strengthening IT infrastructure to support decision-making and achieve sustainable competitive advantages.
