Reality of Total Quality Management in Higher Education Institutions in Libya: An Applied Study from the Faculty Members' Point of View at Tripoli College of Science and Technology

This study addresses the reality of Total Quality Management (TQM) in Libyan higher education institutions through an empirical study investigating the opinions of 25 faculty members at Tripoli College of Science and Technology. It reviews the theoretical framework of TQM and its implementation stages, evaluating six core pillars: students, faculty members, curricula, administrative leadership, physical facilities and infrastructure, and community engagement. The findings reveal a significant decline in most quality indicators, leading to strategic recommendations and short- to medium-term action plans to prepare the academic environment for successful TQM implementation.
