Abstract
The study aimed at the importance and role of information technologies and multimedia in preparing pupils for advanced scientific and practical life and developing thinking skills in basic education in Tripoli. The study reviewed four main issues: teacher-pupil interaction, teaching strategies, motivation, and feedback/evaluation. The study concluded that there is a correlation between achievement and technology use (42.85%), good communication between teacher and pupil (71.42%), while teachers' evaluation of using modern techniques was moderate (40.47%).
