The political crisis in Libya after the events of February 2011, between external intervention and internal conflict

This study addresses the political crisis in Libya following the events of February 2011 and its impact on political, economic, and social life. The study aimed to measure the relationship between external (international and regional) intervention and internal conflicts, as well as examining the challenges facing state-building and national reconciliation. The researcher adopted a historical approach, a case study method, and a descriptive-analytical approach to track variables from 2011 to 2024. The study concluded that external interventions due to conflicting interests, alongside the absence of a constitutional basis and political factions clinging to personal gains, are among the main causes of the ongoing crisis, emphasizing that a solution must emerge internally through comprehensive national reconciliation and establishing constitutional state institutions.
