Study of Rising Groundwater Table to the Surface in Zliten City

This study aims to diagnose the causes, impacts, and possible solutions for the rising surface groundwater levels in Zliten city. The research relied on field visits, water level measurements, and physical and chemical analyses. Results indicate that key causes include excessive consumption of domestic and irrigation water, leakage from sewage networks and septic tanks, and reduced groundwater pumping following reliance on the Man-Made River.
