This research examines the dialectical correlation in drama between its artistic form and its psychological and social impact on audiences and societies. The study highlights the origins, historical evolution, and relation of drama to real life, alongside its various forms such as tragedy, comedy, melodrama, farce, tragicomedy, and psychodrama. It also explores Aristotle's theory of catharsis and the psychological and cultural effects of drama broadcasted through television and satellite channels, warning against intellectual and cultural alienation. Finally, the paper emphasizes the responsibility of Arab playwrights and screenwriters to reinforce Arab identity, social values, and genuine societal issues.
