The United Nations Between Hegemony and Justifications for Reform

The study examined the role played by international relations among the Big Three (Roosevelt, Churchill, and Stalin) in the establishment of the United Nations, as well as the efforts made to build a global peace structure in light of historical experiences. Utilizing descriptive-analytical and historical approaches, the paper reviewed the emergence of the UN, its organs, and programs, assessing its effectiveness in dispute resolution and easing international tensions between 1944 and 1989. The findings indicated that hegemony and conflicting interests impacted the organization's performance, highlighting the need to critically evaluate and reform its bureaucratic apparatus to adapt to contemporary international dynamics.
