Abstract
This study aimed to identify the reality of distant education and the obstacles to its application during the COVID-19 pandemic from the perspective of faculty members at the Faculty of Education, University of Benghazi. It also examined the level of electronic device usage by faculty members, the obstacles encountered, and differences based on gender, academic major, teaching experience, and scientific qualification. Using a descriptive analytical approach, a comprehensive survey was conducted on all 73 faculty members using a questionnaire analyzed via SPSS. Results indicated that the usage level of electronic devices was above average, while the obstacles were at a medium level. Furthermore, no statistically significant differences were found in usage levels or obstacles attributable to demographic variables.
